Terms of service.

1. Who we are

"Lyte Lab," "we," or "us" means Lyte Lab LLC, a Delaware limited liability company with operating address in Austin, TX. The service we provide is available at lytelab.ai and related subdomains (the "Service").

2. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account. Tell us promptly at security@lytelab.ai if you suspect any unauthorized use.

3. Acceptable use

Do not use Lyte Lab to: (a) violate law or any third party's rights; (b) upload content you do not have the right to process; (c) attempt to bypass rate limits, authentication, or payment; (d) send malicious code; (e) submit content depicting the sexual abuse of minors or promoting violence.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate this section, with or without notice, and will cooperate with law enforcement where required.

4. Credits and billing

Credits are prepaid, non-refundable once consumed, and non-transferable. Unused credits do not expire. Purchases are processed by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers. If a purchase fails fraud review at Stripe, we will not grant credits. If our side of a paid operation fails, we will not charge credits — check your usage log to confirm.

Prices may change. Any change to prices applies only to purchases made after the change takes effect; credits already in your balance keep their original per-unit value.

5. Free tier

The free tier is provided as-is with a per-IP rate limit. We may throttle, suspend, or change the free tier at any time. We will give at least 14 days' notice before materially reducing what the free tier offers.

6. Your content

You retain all rights to the documents you upload. You grant us a limited license to process those documents for the sole purpose of providing the Service to you. We do not use your uploads to train models. See our privacy policy for retention details.

7. Our content

The Service software, marks, and this website are owned by Lyte Lab. The enterprise self-host release is distributed under the enterprise license agreement you sign separately and is not covered by these terms.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee a specific uptime percentage on the free tier or the standard paid tier. Enterprise SLAs are available on request and are defined in the enterprise agreement.

9. No warranty

The Service is provided "as is." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, nor that any output will be accurate or complete. Do not use the Service as the sole basis for legal, medical, or financial decisions without independent human review.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Lyte Lab will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages. Our total aggregate liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service will not exceed the amount you paid Lyte Lab in the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Lyte Lab from any claim, loss, or expense arising out of your use of the Service or your violation of these terms.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time. We may terminate or suspend your account for violation of these terms or applicable law. On termination, Sections 6, 9, 10, 11, 13, and 14 survive.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Delaware and both parties consent to that venue.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. If the change is material we will email active account holders at least 14 days before the change takes effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
